CHOOSING, ORDERING & AFTERCARE

GENERAL

We are a business-to-business supplier and therefore accept orders from UK business customers only.

We do our best to limit variations in colour, but owing to technical constraints there may be noticeable differences in colour between products and the images of them on our website or in any digital or printed marketing material.

CHOOSING GARMENTS

You can browse our range of garments and accessories on our website or in our digital brochure (request via our contact form) where you can see full details of the sizes and colour options available.

If there’s a particular item, or brand, that you’re looking for but can’t find, let us know as we can almost certainly help.

ORDERING

We accept orders placed by email, either listing your requirements within the text or with your own purchase order

attached, or we can provide an order form for you to complete and email to us.

We will send an email confirmation of your order within 2 working days of receipt.  Please check that the order details in this email are correct.  If there are any mistakes, please contact us immediately.  If you do not receive a confirmation, please let us know.

PRICES & AVAILABILITY

All prices are quoted in UK pounds, exclusive of carriage and VAT, and are subject to change without notice.

If a price has changed or an item you order becomes unavailable, you will be notified and where possible, offered an

alternative.

All items are subject to availability at time of order.  We regularly review our range according to demand, trends and

ongoing availability, so we may, without notice, update or amend the specifications of individual items, and update,

amend or remove any of the items that we offer.

We apply minimum order quantities for lower value items, though they are the minimum you are likely to order per

person anyway.  This helps to reduce our overheads and keep our prices low.

DELIVERY

We aim to despatch orders within 7 working days of receipt, if not sooner, where stock is available.

We only despatch to UK mainland addresses, and always use a signed-for delivery service.

We will normally despatch goods to your company premises but we can despatch to any UK mainland address specified on your order, such as an employee’s home address, as long as someone is available to sign for the delivery.

Delivery is charged at £8.95 plus VAT, and free on orders over £175 excluding VAT (UK mainland addresses only).

If any items are required urgently or for a specific date, please let us know and where possible, we will do our best to

deliver in time using a faster delivery service, at extra cost, as long as there is stock available and we have enough notice to reasonably arrange faster delivery.

All products are subject to availability and some may be despatched direct from our suppliers, so we may deliver goods in instalments.   Where some items on your order are not in stock, we may ask if you are happy to wait a little longer for the order to be sent complete so that we can reduce the number of deliveries required and thereby reduce our combined

carbon footprint.   We will also reuse boxes and other packaging to further reduce our impact on the environment.

If an order is delivered in more than one consignment, we will only apply one delivery charge, except where some items ordered are customised, personalised or made to order and therefore must be sent separately.

Any discrepancies with your delivery must be reported to us in writing within 3 working days of receipt.

SAMPLES

You can order samples if you would like to see garments first hand to examine the quality, fit, colour and suitability.  They will be invoiced to you on despatch and will be credited in full provided they are returned to us according to our returns policy, at your cost and in their original condition, within 21 days of delivery.  They must be unworn and

unmarked, with all original packaging, bags, covers, hangers, tags and labels still attached. We ask that extra care be taken when trying on garments, especially shirts and blouses, not to soil them with make-up, pen marks, dirt, oil, hairspray, fragrances, deodorant, etc, as any of these will render the garments unfit for resale and therefore non-refundable.

If you are based within 35 miles of Petersfield, Hampshire, we may be able to visit with samples and discuss your

requirements, give advice or make suggestions.

SIZES & FITTINGS

The clothing ranges we offer come in a wide range of sizes.  Click here for size charts, and tips on measuring and choosing the best size.  Please be aware that the sizes may not necessarily correspond with high street equivalents.

PAYMENT

Goods will be invoiced on the date of their despatch, along with any applicable carriage charges and VAT.

In order to keep our overheads and therefore our prices low, we do not offer credit accounts.   Payment is due on receipt of our invoice, and currently only by bank transfer or cheque.  Should you pay by cheque and your bank does not honour your payment, we will charge you an administration fee of £50.

All goods remain the property of Vestis Corporate Clothing Ltd until we have received payment in full, in cleared funds.

GARMENT ALLOCATION

This will depend on the role and the number of consecutive days worked per week.  As a rough guide for a full-time

employee working five days per week, we recommend two jackets with three pairs of trousers or skirts, and five shirts or blouses each.  If the jacket is only worn occasionally and for short periods at a time, one jacket may suffice.  You may find it helpful to refer to Brook Taverner’s Garment Cleaning & Allocation Guidelines.

TIPS TO STAY SMART

Garments should not fit snugly as this puts unnecessary strain on the seams which could lead to irreparable damage.  It’s also unflattering!  Always choose a size that’s slightly too big rather than slightly too small.  Trousers and skirts should be loose enough on the hips to allow for sitting and bending without straining the seams.

Try not to wear the same tailored item on consecutive days.  It’s better to alternate and give each garment a rest and allow creases to drop out, which will spread the wear evenly across garments and extend their useful life.  Unless a jacket is

worn all day every day, the same jacket could be worn but a different pair of trousers, skirt or dress should be worn each

day, alternating between an individual’s allocation.

Always unbutton your jacket to sit down, to prevent distortion of the garment and straining the button.  And avoid bulging pockets.  Wallets, loose change, keys, a mobile phone - they all pull clothing out of shape.  Take particular care with keys in pockets as they can have sharp edges that damage pocket linings.

GARMENT STORAGE

To help keep clothing in shape and looking its best, we recommend storing hanging garments with space around them so

they don’t get squashed or creased, using the hanger supplied, where applicable, and ideally in a wardrobe or at least

covered, to protect them from dust.  It is best not to hang jackets or coats on the back of a chair or on a coat hook.

We recommend storing formal hats in individual boxes to prevent squashing and maintain their shape.

CARE OF WET COATS

We recommend drying a wet coat on a hanger in a warm room, not placed on or near direct heat. The coat should be aired away from other garments until it is completely dry. If it is totally sodden, we recommend having it dry cleaned as an extra precaution to keep it looking its best.

GARMENT CLEANING

All garments have labels with care instructions attached and these must always be followed.  Many tailored garments are now machine-washable, but some are not.  Always check the individual garment care labels and follow the instructions.  Only wash garments that are specifically labelled as washable and always wash according to the care instructions.  Failure to do so may lead to irreparable damage to the garments.

GARMENTS WITH A TEFLON COATING

Fabrics with a Teflon coating will repel most spills, stains and splashes as most liquids will bead up and roll off the

surface.  So Teflon treated garments require less frequent washing or dry cleaning, helping to keep them looking new for longer and extending their lifespan.

Please note that all orders are subject to our Terms and Conditions of Business.
